A diamond is a diamond because it carries the light,
but it doesn’t produce or guard the light.
There is nothing any of us can do to undo a diamond.
No one owns it (though you can possess it from life to death). No one is empowered or responsible to guard it (from the diamond’s point of view). No one is enlightened enough to ‘illuminate’ it (cause we’re not a light source). Sure, you can destroy it, but it’s still not undone. At the end of the day – this rock refracts light into the spectrum of color across our universe. That very light, that spetrification, that amplification is
Everybody’s Diamond.
